how does carbon monoxide prevents oxygen transport

HI FRIEND..

Carbon monoxide mainly causes adverse effects by combining with hemoglobin to form carboxyhemoglobin(HbCO) in the blood. This prevents hemoglobin from carrying oxygen to the tissues.
