No that is not the case. Not all social differences do not lead to divisions . Social divisions do exist in society in every part of the world. This division is specially seen in politics. For example, in Democracy it is normal to present these social divisions and make promises to in fact end these social differences

2.These overlapping differences occur when one difference becomes more important than another and people from oppressed communities feel alienated.

For example, Blacks and Whites were divided in US as blacks tended to be poor, homeless and discriminated against, in India, Dalits tended to be poor and landless as they faced discrimination and injustice.
