Democracy is obviously better than other forms of government. In Olden times I was dictatorship rule all over India it was very difficult to handle those rules, people were harassed by different conditions scanty wages, longer working hours etc. The people at that time were living miserable life..

ok!let me put it like this to you
domocracy is created of the people,by the people, for the people.it follow set of ethical rules,
and let's come to other form of government
For example: north Korea which is dictionarship(monarchy) it follows set of rules, but which are in the favor of dictator..it was said that north Korean dictatorship is being followed by atlest 3 generations, which means the current dictator great-grandfather already ruled the country from past 2 decades. And country spend 15.8 of it's state budget on defense, this country puts most of it's people in it's prison camps(if one generation commits mistake, even his grandchildren will also suffer)
in one word dictatorship is a complete mess
...
and again let's talk about democracy(I stopped in 3rd line about democracy to make u understand in proper way).Democracy is defined as a form of government in which power belongs to the people. There are two forms of democracy. One is direct democracy, in which all eligible citizens have direct participation in the decision making of the government. The second and more common form of democracy is representative democracy, in which citizens
exercise their power through elected representatives. The elected representatives propose, develop, and create laws for the citizens to abide by.
5 points in favor of democracy
1)Because democracy acts as a safety valve- which can be opened every 3-4-5 years
2) Freedom of Speech
Yes, out of all freedoms - this one is the most important. We can speak against our politicians, parties and government on whichever platform we like. Yet another mean of channelizing our dissatisfaction in a positive manner.
3)No forced ideologies. People have the right to be 'right' or 'left' or 'center' in most of the democratic countries. They have right to follow their own faiths and religion. They have right to change their beliefs, ideologies whenever they feel like.
4)It empowers the people (by making the rulers dependent upon their support), thus securing them some protection against persecution and promotion of their interests
5)it provides a method to deal with different conflicts.
I hope this is useful
thanks
