Originating from the valley of Yezami village near Zunheboto town of Nagaland, this river started its journey towards north. In Nagaland, this river is known as Nonga River. It has collected water from many many small streams, but the main tributary of Dikhow is called Yangmun River, which is coming from far east of Nagaland hills. One more tributary is supplying water from the vally of Tuensang. The river entered in plains of Santak, a small village of Sibsagar district of Assam and changed its direction towards west. Simaluguri / Nazira and Sibsagar are the main town on its banks. 220 miles long, flowing from the Naga Hills.
