men determine the sex of baby by depending upon that weather there sperm is carrying X chromosome or Y chromosome .if the chromosome is X then baby is female and if chromosome is Y then baby is male

each human cell contains 46 chromosomes out of 46 chromosomes 44 are autosomes and 2 are sex chromosomes does to sex chromosomes in human females are similar and written as expected to sex chromosome in human males are dissimilar and written as xy

gamete produced by human females contains only 22 + X chromosomes whereas the sperms contain 22 + x or 22 + Y chromosomes therefore the sex of the child is determined by the father of the child not the mother of the child
