Carboxylic acid will change blue litmus paper into red...
And reaction with sodium hydrogen carbonate ( NaHCO3 ) ...Alchol has no reaction with sodium carbonate but in case of carboxylic acud it reacts with NaHCO3 which gives CH3CCONa... CO2 and H2O ...
