x² - 3x - 3
first of all you have to find out discriminant
D = b² - 4ac = (-3)² - 4(1)(-3) = 9 + 12 = 21
D = 21 > 0 it means this expression have real roots .

now,
x² - 3x - 3 = 0
x² - 3x = 3
add both sides, (3/2)²
x² - 3x + (3/2)² = 3 + (3/2)²
x² - 2.(3/2)x + (3/2)² = 3 + 9/4 = 21/4
{x - (3/2)}² = 21/4
take square root both sides,
x -3/2 = ± √21/2
x = 3/2 ± √21/2

hence, x = (3 ± √21)/2

navi39: it's algebraic questions man.. I need to find limit
abhi178: what do you mean ,is this limit ? who can say this is limit ? this is algebraic expression
