I. Read the following stanzas carefully and answer the question:
1. Where do all the teachers go
When it's four o'clock?
Do they live in houses
And do they wash their socks?
Do they wear pyjamas
And do they watch TV?
And do they pick their noses
The same as you and me?
(a) Who asks the above questions about teachers?
(b) What is his impression about his teachers? Why?
(c) What are the activities of a normal person?
(d) Write the opposite of different from the stanza.
2. Do they live with other people
Have they mums and dads?
And were they ever children
And were they ever bad?

Answer:

(a) The poet, probably a student, asks the above questions about teachers.

(b) The poet has this impression that all the teachers are not like common people. This is because for children, their teachers are like unpredictable, mysterious people who are only there to teach them and give them loads of homework.

(c) A normal person lives in a house, washes their socks, wears pyjamas, watch TV and picks his nose.

(d) Same.
