4y+9x=21    (2)

From equation one you get

3x=9-2y

x=9-2y/3

Substitr this in equation 2

4x + 9 (9-2y/3)=21

4x + 3(9-2y)=21                               ( as u cut 9 by 3 )

4x+ 27-6y=21

-2y=-6

y=-6/-2

y=3

now put y=3 in x=9-2y/3

x=9-(2*3)/3

x=9-6/3

x= 3/3

x=1
