write the above statement into equation form
11x /100 - 7x / 100 = 18
(11x - 7x ) /100 = 18
⇒ 4x / 100 = 18
⇒ x = (18 /1 ) × ( 100 / 4 ) 
after cancellation,
x = 450

11x/100 = (7x+1800)/100

As 100 is same in both, it will 1

11x = 7x + 1800

11x - 7x =1800

4x = 1800

x =1800/4
