solution : let x and y are two numbers.

a/c to question,

45 % of x is added to y = 1.35y

⇒45/100 × x + y = 1.35y

⇒0.45x = 1.35y - y = 0.35y

⇒0.45x = 0.35y

⇒x/y = 35/45 = 7/9

Therefore the ratio of these two numbers is 7 : 9.
