AB = BC (given)

AB = AC-BC.......(1)

BC = AC-AB........(2)

NOW AB= BC 

THEN FROM 1 & 2

AB+BC = AC-BC+AC-AB

OR

AB+ BC = AC

ITS 3rd POSTULATE
