Let the side be x
then volume = (x)^3 = x^3
When side is 2x
Volume = (2x)^3
= 8x^3
x^3/8x^3
= 1/8
So the volume increase by 8 times
then volume = (x)^3 = x^3
When side is 2x
Volume = (2x)^3
= 8x^3
x^3/8x^3
= 1/8
So the volume increase by 8 times

The volume of cube is increased by 8 times.
It's because the original volume is l³ where l is the length.
Since length is doubled the volume is (2l)³ = 8l³.
Thus volume is increased by 8 times if length is doubled.
Hope it helped.....
