Both the triangles are similar triangles.
(area1)/(area2)=(side1)²/(side2)²
side2 =2× side1
⇒side1/side2 = 1/2
∴(area1)/(area2) = (1/2)² = 1/4
(area1)/(area2)=(side1)²/(side2)²
side2 =2× side1
⇒side1/side2 = 1/2
∴(area1)/(area2) = (1/2)² = 1/4
