When in a flower, the internode between the corolla and the androecium is lengthened so as to raise the androecium (i.e. stamens ) high up in the air then that internode is called as androphore. In such a case the Gynoecium (ovary) is also raised up automatically as it is situated above the Androecium. Passion flower is a good example .
