using the formula for perimeter:

p=2(l+b)

900=2(160+b)

450=160+b

b= 29

so, breadth= 29m

Now, area= l×b

A= 160×29 = 4640 m^2

\huge\large \fbox \red{Given :}

  • length of rectangle = 160 m

  • Perimeter of rectangle= 900 m

\huge\large \fbox \red{Find  :}

  • breadth of rectangle

  • Area of rectangle

\huge\large \fbox \red{Solution :}

 \sf \: Perimeter  \: of \:  rectangle   = 2(length   + breadth ) \\  \\  \sf \: \frac{Perimeter}{2} \:  = length \:  + breadth \\ \\   \bf \: \frac{Perimeter}{2} \:  - length \:  = breadth \\  \sf \: Now,  \: Apply  \: it \\  \\ \sf \:  \frac{900}{2} - 160 \: m = breadth \\  \sf \: 290m \:  = breadth \:  \\ \\  \\  \sf \</p><p>Area  \:  of  \: rectangle  \:  = length \:  \times breadth \\  \\  \:  \sf</p><p>Area  \: of \:  rectangle  = 160 \: m \:  \times 290 \: m \\  \\ \bf</p><p></p><p>Area  \: of \:  rectangle  \:  = 46400 \: m \:  {}^{2}

Hence, the breadth of rectangle = 290 m

Area of rectangle = 46400 m ²
