Given :-

If the sales tax on a purchase worth Rs 60 is Rs 4.20

To Find :-

What will be the sales tax on the purchase worth of Rs 150?

Solution :-

Let the sales tax be x

60 : 4.20

150 : x

Cross multiplication

4.20(150) = 60(x)

630 = 60x

630/60 = x

Cancel by 6

105/10 = x

10.5 = x

Hence,

Sales tax is 10.5
