2(0) cube -8(0) square+p(0)+b=0

2(0)-8(0)+0+b=0

0-0+0+b=0

b=0

if we put the value of b in equation 2p+b=16

then 2p+0=16

p=16/2

p=8

hence,p=8&b=0
