Actually, it's 3-2+2+1=4.

x=√3-√2

1/x=1/√3-√2×√3+√2/√3+2. 【rationalize】

then,1/x=√3+√2/1

now putting on your question..

(x+1/x)^2

=(√3-√2+√3-√2)^2

=(2√3)^2

=4×3

=12.Answer.
