1. diameter always passes through centre let it be O.

drawing the given diagram and joining O with C and D we get 2 triangles OLC and OLD.

2. O is centre and C,D are points on circle so OC=OD= radius of circle.

3. OL is a common side in both the triangles

4. as it is given that they are perpendicular in the question, applying hypotenuse theorem in both sides. we get
oc {2} - ol {2} = cl {2}
and similarly for the other triangle we get for DL

Therefore CL=DL
