In 2/3 + (-4/5) +(-2/3,) + 1 + (-11/15) Distributive property should be applied.

There are three main properties for solving numbers:-

1) Commutative property - It states that the numbers on which we operate can be moved or swapped from their position without making any difference to the answer.

a+b=b + a

2) Associative property- This property states that when three or more numbers are added (or multiplied), the sum(or product) is the same regardless of the grouping of the addends (or multiplicands).

a+ (b+c)= (a+b)+ c

3) Distributive property - Distributive property helps us to simplify the multiplication of a number by a sum or difference. As the name suggests, it distributes the expression.

a*b + a*c= a( b +c)

The above question can be solved using the distributive property as follows:-

=2/3 + (-4/5) +(-2/3) + 1 + (-11/15)

=2/3[ -4/5-1]+ (-11/15)

=2/3(-9/5)+(-11/15)

=-18/15-11/15

=-29/15
