Here a=23 ; d= -2 and an=5
an = a + (n-1)d
-->5 = 23 + (n-1)-2
-->5 = 23 +2 -2n
-->5 = 25 -2n
--> -2n = -20
-->n=10
Sn = n/2(a + an)
--> 10/2(23 + 5)
-->5 X 28
=140
-->There are 140 roses on the flower bed..
