The dissociation constant of the weak acid is 2 x 10⁻⁶
We know that ,
pH = pKᵃ + log[base/acid]
where ,
pKᵃ = - logKᵃ
and Kᵃ is called the dissociation constant.
So from the given data we get,
4.4 = pKᵃ + log[1/2]
=> 4.4 = pKᵃ - 0.3
=> pKᵃ = 4.7
=> - log Kᵃ = 4.7
=> Kᵃ = 10⁻⁴°⁷
= 1/50118
=> Kᵃ ≅ 2 x 10⁻⁶
