In rxn Benzotrichloride with Br2/Fe why we get Br at meta position? , as it should have at ortho and para position​

no it will come only on meta as we can see CCl3 is having 3 cl so more -i effect so the whole system act as -i

so it goes on meta but not on ortho or para

in case of halogens -i is preffered more thn +m effect
