Hi ,
Let probability of getting head = x
probability of getting tail = y
According to the problem given ,
x = 2y ---( 1 )
x + y = 1 ------( 2 )
Put x = 2y in equation ( 2 ) , we get
2y + y = 1
3y = 1
y = 1/3 ---( 3 )
put y = 1/3 in equation ( 1 ) , we get
x = 2 × 1/3
x = 2/3
Therefore ,
Required equations are ,
x = 2y
x + y = 1
I hope this helps you .
