A living organism can either make its food by own or else dependent on others for its food requirements. Living organisms like plants which can make their own food with the help of raw material available in nature like Sunlight, air and water are called Autotrophs. Some other organisms which depend directly or indirectly on autotrophs for their food requirements are called Heterotrophs. Ex- Humans, Animals.
