Solution :

Displacement current exists whenever there is charge of electric flux.

Since electric changes do not flow through the insulation from one plate of a capacitor to the other, there is no conduction current inside a capacitor.

Instead there is only displacement current .

Answer:

The displacement of the current exists in the presence of an charge on electric flux. So when no electric charge passes through the medium in between the plates of the capacitor, no electric conduction would be possible inside the capacitor. This medium is mostly an insulator.
