Cow has a special digestive process to break down the coarse food. It has 4 stomachs. It firstly eat the food to just swallow it. The unchewed food travels to the first and second stomach I.e.
rumen and reticulum. It is there stored for later. When the cow's stomach become full she then rest and later coughs up and then starts chewing the food completely before swallowing again. The chewed food, the cud goes into 3rd and 4th stomach i.e.omasum and abomasum to digest it completely. After that the digested food enters into blood stream and flows towards the udder. Then it becomes milk and get out of it's teats and the remaining undigested food nourish the body of the cow
