Is it possible that force is acting on an object but still work done is 0? Explain.

YES, it is possible that force is acting on an object but still work done is zero, this when an object is at rest and no external force except gravity is acting on it in this case thework that would be zero as the force acting on it is perpendicular.Therefore the displacement is zero and if displacement is zero work done would be automatically 0.
Mathematically
W = f . s
Is s = displacement is 0
Work = 0

Yes, when the perpendicular force is applied on a body , work done becomes zero.

Mathematically,

W=F. Disp.×cosx

Where cos X= cos 90°

Hence work done= 0 .
