The vertebral column usually consists of 33 vertebrae: 24 presacral vertebrae (7 cervical, 12 thoracic, and 5 lumbar) followed by the sacrum (5 fused sacral vertebrae) and the coccyx (4 frequently fused coccygeal vertebrae).

A cow has between 49 and 51 vertebrae running from the neck to the tail. The variation in number is in the tail, where cattle can have between 18 to 20 vertebrae in the caudal region, or the tail. There are also seven cervical (neck) vertebrae, 13 thoracic (ribcage) vertebrae, six lumbar (loin) and five sacral (sirloin) vertebrae.

I hope it is helped you
