Equation:

6x² - 8x - 8 = 0

Here,

Sum of zeroes = -8

product of zero = -48

Splitting -48 into two numbers whose sum is -8

the required numbers are -12 and 4

Splitting the middle term:

==> 6x² - 12x + 4x - 8 = 0

==> 6x ( x - 2 ) + 4 ( x - 2 ) = 0

==> (x - 2)(6x - 2) = 0

x - 2 = 0 | 6x - 2 = 0

==> x = 2 | x = 1/3

Hence, Zeroes of the following quadratic equation are 2 and 1/3
