According to question ,
x=3y⟶(i)
After 10 years,
Age of Kareem =x+10
Age of his son =y+10
∴(x+10)+(y+10)=76
x+y=56⟶(ii)
x−3y=0
On subtracting , 4y=56
y=14 years old
putting value of y in ⟶(i)
x=3×14=42 years.
Hence the age of Kareem = 42 years
And his son's age will be = 14 years
