Given:
l= 80 cm , b = 40 cm, h=20 cm
Side of a square sheet= 40 cm

Wooden box is in the shape of cuboid.

Surface area of the box = 2(lb+bh+hl)

= 2( 80×40 + 40×20 + 20×80)
= 2(3200+800+1600)
=2(5600)
= 11200 cm²

Surface Area of the box= 11200 cm²
Area of 1 sheet =area of square= side ×side
Area of 1 square sheet = 40 cm × 40 cm =1600 cm²

Number of square sheets required =surface area of box/ area of 1 square sheet

= 11200/1600=7

Hence, she would require 7 Square sheets.

Solution :-

Given -

Length of the box in cuboid shape = 80 cm

Breadth of the box in cuboid shape = 40 cm

Height of the box in cuboid shape = 20 cm

Surface area of the box in cuboid shape = 2(L*B + B*H + H*L)

⇒ 2(80*40 + 40*20 + 20*80)

⇒ 2(3200 + 800 + 1600)

⇒ 2*5600

= 11200 sq cm

Now, each side of the square sheet of paper = 40 cm

Area of the square sheet of paper = Side*Side

⇒ 40*40

Area of one square sheet of paper = 1600 sq cm

Number of square sheets of paper needed to cover the box in cuboid shape

Surface area of the box in cuboid shape/Area of one square sheet of paper

⇒ 11200/1600

= 7 square sheets of paper.

So, 7 square sheets of paper will be needed to cover the box in cuboid shape.
