Kuwar Singh played a vital role in the First Battle of Independence in 1957 also called Sepoy Mutiny .

Once in a battle he was shot by Douglas's army ,

He had cut off his hands with a sword because it was infected by a bullet shot and thrown it in the Ganges .

He belonged to the royal House in Jagdishpur .

He led a revolt against the British at the age of 80 !!!!

His statue in his commemoration is situated in Jagdishpur .
