Answer:

Jasmine:

Jasmineis a genus of shrubs and vines in the olive family (Oleaceae). It contains around 200 species native to tropical and warm temperate regions of Eurasia and Oceania. Jasmines are widely cultivated for the characteristic fragrance of their flowers. A number of unrelated plants contain the word "jasmine" in their common names (see Other plants called "jasmine").

HIBISCUS:

Hibiscus is a genus of flowering plants in the mallow family, Malvaceae. The genus is quite large, comprising several hundred species that are native to warm temperate, subtropical and tropical regions throughout the world. Member species are renowned for their large, showy flowers and those species are commonly known simply as "hibiscus", or less widely known as rose mallow. Other names include hardy hibiscus, rose of sharon, and tropical hibiscus.

Differences between Jasmine and hibiscus-

  • When pollen from male flowers reaches female flowers and fertilisation occurs, the hibiscus species reproduce sexually. When pods reach maturity, they crack open and release seeds. The seeds then fall to the ground and germinate, resulting in more plants. As a result, the hibiscus does not bear fruit.
  • Artificial vegetative propagation can be used to grow jasmine. Layering is a type of artificial vegetative propagation in which a branch is allowed to grow in the ground while being attached to the primary plant. When the plant grows roots, it will absorb nutrients from the primary plant and spread rapidly.

Similarities between Jasmine and hibiscus-

  • Hibiscus is a fascinating flower  that is widely used in beverages around the equator. . Hibiscus has a tart and cranberry-like flavour, making it an intriguing addition to either a refreshing summer beer or a holiday beer.
  • The aroma of jasmine flowers is usually added to green tea before brewing  Because the volatile compounds are so delicate, adding jasmine as late in the brewing process as possible is a good idea. Thus, both flowers show some similarities with each other.
