The sides of two squares are 2.4 and 1.8 meters long respectively. Find
the side of new square equal to the sum of the two squares in area.​

Sides of two squares = 2.4 & 1.8

Area of square = S²

Area of 1 st square = (2.4 )²

Area of 1st square = 5.76 unit²

Area of 2nd square = (1.8)²

Area of 2nd square = 3.24unit ²

Area of New made square = area of 1st sq + area of 2nd square

Area of New square = 5.76 + 3.24

Area = 9 unit square

Now Side of new square

S² = 9

S = √ 9

Side = 3 cm
