Pancreas: It is a soft lobulated gland present in between the loops of duodenum. It secretes pancreatic juice containing enzymes which is poured into duodenum with a help of pancreatic duct.
Liver:It is the largest gland in human. Liver secretes bile, the digestive juice, which is temporarily stored in the gall bladder. The gall bladder extracts water from its store of bile until the liquid becomes highly concentrated. When we eat fatty foods, it triggers the gall bladder to squeeze its bile concentrate into the small intestine. The bile juice plays an important role in the digestion of fats.
Salivary glands: The salivary glands secrete the first of the digestive juices, the saliva. In the digestion process, the saliva helps the teeth and tongue to masticate and mix up the food thoroughly. Mucus in saliva helps in lubricating and adhering food particles into a bolus. Then the bolus conveyed to pharynx for further digestion. Lysozyme present in saliva acts as an antibacterial agent that prevents infection......
