mention the role of cell wall and compare this with animal cell

Hi angel, Here's the required answer:-

Cell wall is. a protective layer outside the cell membrane which is composed of complex sugar called Cellulose.

Functions of the cell wall:-

1. It provides the the shape of plant cell.
2. It protects the plant from any pathogens entering the cell.
3. It provides rigidity to the cell.
4. It allows the entry and exit of some substances like oxygen, carbon dioxide, etc

But these cell walls are not present in animal cells.

=> A cell wall provides protection to the cell.

=> A cell wall allows entry and exit of certain substances.

This is not present in animals. It is only in plants.
