no momentum is vector as P=mv velocity is vector

Momentum is a Vector quantity.

A vector quantity possesses both a magnitude and direction. but scalar has only magnitude .
Due to the reason Momentum depends on magnitude as well as direction , it is called a Vector Quantity.
