Name the gas collected by anode and cathode during electrlysis of water?

cutegirl32: During the electrolysis of refining the impure metal M is made the anode and thin strip of pure metal M is made cathode and a salt solution of metal M as electrolyte.

during the electrolysis of water , water is split into hydrogen and oxygen gas

hydrogen is collected at cathode
oxygen is collected at anode ...
