Trapezoidal rule can be applied to any number of even or odd subintervals. The polynomial of 1st degree is considered in the Trapezoidal rule. Its geometrical significance is that the curve y = f(x) is replaced by n straight lines joining the points (x0,y0), (x1,y1), (x2, y2), ………..,(xn,yn) and area of each strip is found separately and added.
