Solution :

Given p(x) = 3x² + 5x - 8

Let p(x) = 0

=> 3x² + 5x - 8 = 0

Splitting the middle term , we get

=> 3x² - 3x + 8x - 8 = 0

=> 3x( x - 1 ) + 8( x - 1 ) = 0

=> ( x - 1 )( 3x + 8 ) = 0

x - 1 = 0 or 3x + 8 = 0

x = 1 or x = -8/3

Therefore ,

1 , (-8/3 ) are two zeroes of given

quadratic polynomial p(x).
