According to the question there are two polynomial given as follow:

P(x)=40x²+11x–63,s(x)=8x–9,

For this particular question we cannot show the calculation right here in the editor so I have attached an image which you can refer.

quotient obtained after calculation = (5x + 7). and remainder is 0.

That means (5x + 7) is a factor of 40x²+11x–63.

Hi ,

It is given that ,

p( x ) = 40x² + 11x - 63 ,

s( x ) = 8x - 9

8x-9)40x² + 11x - 63 ( 5x + 7
******40x² -45x
_______________
*************56x - 63
*************56x -63
