Hey there!!

p ( x ) = x² - 2x + 5

First let us take -1 }

P ( - 1 ) = ( - 1 )² - ( 2 ) ( - 1 ) + 5

P ( - 1 ) = 1 + 2 + 5

P ( - 1 ) = 8

Now, let us take 5

P ( 5 ) = ( 5 )² - ( 2 ) ( 5 ) + 5

P ( 5 ) = 25 - 10 + 5

P ( 5 ) = 15 + 5

P ( 5 ) = 20

P ( - 1 ) = 8

P ( 5 ) = 20

hiii!!!

here's ur answer...

p(x) = x² - 2x + 5

x = -1

on putting values :-

p(-1) = (-1)² - 2(-1) + 5

= 1 + 2 + 5

= 8

now x = 5

on putting values :-

p(5) = (5)² - 2(5) + 5

= 25 - 10 + 5

= 15 + 5

= 20

hope this helps..!!
