Given:

Parallelogram ABCD with AB= 6cm, AD = 4.5 cm and BD = 7.5 cm

To construct:

Draw a parallelogram with above measures.

Solution:

Consider the attached figure while going through the following steps.

Steps of construction:

Draw a line AB with a scale of 6 cm.

From point A draw an arc of length 4.5 cm.

From point B draw an arc of length 7.5 cm such that it intersects with the arc drawn from point A.

A point where these arcs intersect mark it as D.

From point D with a scale of 6 cm draw a straight line parallel to line AB.

From point B with a scale of 4.5 cm draw an arc such that it cut the line drawn from point D.

A point where the line drawn from point D and arc from point B intersects, mark it as C.

Join AD, BD, DC and BC.

Hence the required construction of parallelogram ABCD.

Parallelogram MORE

Given,

OR = 6cm

RE = 4.5 cm

EO = 7.5cm

To construct a parallelogram MORE

  • Draw a line E and O of 7.5cm
  • Draw an arc from R to M of 4.5cm and then join it.
  • Draw an arc from O to R of 6cm and then join it.
  • As we know, a parallelogram has all opposite angle equal. So draw a the other side as given and give the name MO and RO.
  • Join it.

See the attachment, it's constructed.

Material use :-

Compasses, scale and pencil

Hope it's help...
