Area of cuboidal solid = 2(lb+bh+hl)
= 2( 150×100 + 100×5 + 5×150)
= 2( 15000 + 500 + 750)
= 2(16250)
= 32500 cm sq.
Area of cylindrical hole = 2πr(h+r)
= 2×π×7/2 (5+ 7/2)
= 7π ( 17/2)
7× 22/7 × 17/2
11×17 = 187 cm sq.
Area of remaining solid = area of cuboidal solid - area of cylindrical hole
(32500 - 187)cm sq.
32313 cm sq.
