Just count the number of squares the shape is covering.

Some rules ,

1. If the shape covers a half of the square, count it as half.

2. If the shape covers more than half of a square, then count it as one.

3. If the shape covers less than half of an square, then DON’T COUNT IT.

By these all rules, you would get the area
