a) alpha +beta = -b/a =-(5)/3
and alpha*beta= c/a =-7/3
so,
1/alpha + 1/ beta
(by taking the LCM)
beta +alpha /beta*alpha
(putting the values)
-5/3divided by-7/3,
3 cancels out by doing cross multiplication also the minus sign
then you are left with 5/3 which is your answer

smkjaya: thank u so much !
smkjaya: then one by alpha square and one by beta square
kamalmani2014: my pleasure!!
smkjaya: plese answer the second part....
