As 5 men or 9 women can do a piece of work in 19 days, so 5men =9women i.e. one men =9/5women

Let x be the days required to complete the work when 3 men and 6 men are working.

Applying the formula M1D1/ W1= M2D2/ W2.

We can solve this question either using men or using women. Let us solve this question using women.

3men and 6 women =3(9/5) + 6=57/5 women {as one man =9/5 women}

9(19) /W=(57/5) x/W

On solving x=15 days.
