ANSWER

Let the number of males in previous year be x and number of female be y.

Now,

by first condition x+y= 50000.......(1)

Male population increased by 5%

Therefore number of males,

 \\  \frac{105}{100} x

Female population increased by 3%

Therefore number of females,

 \\  \frac{103}{100} y

From second condition,

  \\ \frac{105}{100}x +  \frac{103}{100} y = 52020 \\  \\ 105x + 103y = 5202000......(2) \\  \\

Multiplying equation (1) by 103,

105x + 103y =5150000......(3)

Subtracting equation (3) from (2)

2x= 5202000-510000

2x= 52000.

Number of males

 \\ x =  \frac{52000}{2}  \\  \\ x = 26000

Number of females,

Put the above value of x in equation (1)

x + y = 50000.....(1)

26000+y=50000

y= 50000-26000

y= 24000.

Number of males,

x= 26000.

Number of females,

y= 24000.

increased of demals=3%

\begin{lgathered}\\ \frac{103}{100} y\end{lgathered}

(100(103= y)

\begin{lgathered}\\\frac{105}{100}x + \frac{103}{100}y=52020

105x + 103y = 5202000

(100(105 x+ 100(103)

y=52020

105x+103y=5202000

Subtracting equation (3) from (2)

2x= 52000.
